While walking through this rugged land
I wondered what I'd see.
I came without a mission and
No sense of destiny.
I camped beneath majestic Pines
And watched the stars by night.
I also saw a shooting star
And marveled at the sight.
I felt the cool of mornings breeze
And watched the rising sun.
I played with squirrels and rabbits too
And all this just for fun.
I drank the waters from the streams
And ate the berries too.
I watched the sun set through the trees
And then I thought of you.
I came to visit nature's house,
I found thy home instead.
I see these works of your great hand
My soul and heart were fed.
I hope you hear my humble prayer
And look within my heart.
I'm grateful for the things you've made.
I pledge to do my part.
I'll take care of your lovely home
I'll do all I can do,
For now I know that you love me.
Please know that I love you.
I promise I will try to learn
The principles you give
And do my best to share these things
You'll see by how I live.
