This Time of Year

There are some things that indicate,
This special time of year,
The pumpkins carved for Halloween,
And football fans that cheer.

There are the autumn leaves that fall,
And settle here and there,
And folks that rake on Saturdays,
To pile them up with care.

And then there are the chimney tops
That hint of warmth within,
And smells of pies and baking things,
So good they make you grin.

With fam'ly then all gathered 'round,
A table blessed with food,
We thank our Father up above,
And show our gratitude.

Yes, fall is filled with many things,
We feel in many ways,
And so I wish you love and hope,
And Happy Holidays.
