She Cares

I love the smudge across her cheek,
The dirty jeans she wears.
I love the way she cleans the house,
It shows how much she cares.

No, I don’t mind when dinner’s late
Because she scrubbed the floors,
Or had to run the kids around,
Between the other chores.

She doesn’t have to be dressed up,
To show her class and style;
It shows in everything she does,
That always brings a smile.

And so this special time of year,
With all my love I say,
I’m proud and pleased to wish the best,
To her this Mother’s Day.
