I had a thought, not long ago,
That you were here with me,
And in the thought we were alone,
Where no one else could see.
Then as I took your hand in mine,
My heart began to race,
And all the problems of the world,
Were gone, without a trace.
And there, within that private place,
Where mind and heart reside,
My love for you grew stronger and
Impossible to hide.
And then you smiled a smile at me,
That took my breath away,
And held me captive there with you
In thoughts that couldn't stray.
And now within continued thoughts,
With all these things I feel,
I'll hold you close, then tenderly,
I'll kiss, and make you real.
