Cloudy Skies

When clouds of life are gathering,
When light begins to fade,
As sunlight hides behind the clouds
Be grateful for the shade.

When stormy skies are threatening
When rain is all we see,
Remember, flowers need the rain
And so do all the trees.

These simple thoughts exemplify,
Some ways to look at life.
They show that good comes with the bad;
There’s joy as well as strife.

But like the shade that comes with rain,
Some good is hard to find,
But we can seek with open thoughts
If we’ll have open minds.

Each challenge that we have in life
Will come with blessings too,
For balance is the way of God,
In all that we go through.

So with our open eyes and faith,
When good times are declining
Remember each and every cloud,
Will have a silver lining.
